Celebrate Christmas In July with a wonderful celebration. It's the middle of the year and winter is here. And we all know what that means. It's time for a Christmas in July celebration!

Australia is truly lucky when it comes to Christmas celebrations. Our glorious summer is the time for summer holidays AND Christmas holidays - making for a long unbroken stretch of summer pleasure. Our summer Christmas is fantastic with so many food options and such wonderful weather to enjoy it all with family and friends. We then also get to have Christmas In July!

July is one of the coldest times of the year in Australia. What better time to fire up the oven and fill the house with warmth and the enticing smells of cinnamon and cloves, stunning roasts, and rich Christmas pudding. Food that warms the house and heart, bringing family and friends together.

Because that's what it's about. The food!

Lunch or dinner, at home or in the office, bringing everyone together around a magically decorated table. There are so many ways to decorate a table. Use a wonderful decorated wreath as your centre piece, or run lengths of ribbon decoratively along the table. You can even tie some around wine glass stems. Wired garland is also great for table decorating as it's long and flexible - and a bargain! Grab some Christmas Santa hats and you're almost ready to go!

The most important item? Christmas bon bons (or does your family call them Christmas crackers?) They are the centre-piece for the fun. Place one at each place setting as a beautiful decorative feature, and enjoy the fun as your guests pair up to crack the crackers, wear the silly hats and laugh out loud at the it-isn't-Christmas-without-them silly jokes. Now the party's started!

Or perhaps you want to venture out of the house? Christmas in July events are held throughout Australia, with many restaurants getting in on the fun. In particular, those located in the cold mountain regions such as the Blue Mountains in Sydney or one of the famous Australian snowfield resorts such as Thredbo, Perisher, Mount Selwyn, Mount Buller, Charlotte Pass, Baw Baw, Hotham or Mount Buffalo. What a wonderful getaway that would be! Are you putting on a large event? Then catering packs of bon bons are the go to bring big-group cheer.

Merry Christmas In July!
