The spirit of Christmas pervades all areas of Australia, but each region has its own traditional ways of celebrating.  Whether it is carols by candlelight, streets that have decorating competitions, shop fronts that put on special Christmas displays ... sometimes it seems every city in Australia is trying to outdo the others with their festivities and city Christmas decorations.
